Pedestrian News

The original footpath at the bottom of Bancroft Road has now been closed.

It has been replaced by a wider wheelchair and buggy friendly path which eventually curves towards London Road. It looks to be permanent in so far as the surface is well laid and kerbs are in place.
It seems to run South of the planned new junction from the link road into London Road.

Although somewhat isolated at present, the path appears to provide very useful pedestrian access from Woodsgate Park towards the town. There is not, as yet, a  gateway into the Leisure Centre, but perhaps this will come.

And finally we can see the little stream which has meandered from North of the Woodsgate Bridge and is shown on the link road plans. I do hope the planners make a feature of it.
